I've looked through the spreadsheet of fellowships and I wanted to see if anyone had any insight into how they are when it comes to taking their fellows on as residents afterwards.I matched this past cycle and I remember being in that position and getting very stressed about how ambiguous that section is. I googled a lot looking for guidance and mostly just found forums on here and SDN where people gave a pretty wide range of suggestions.If you look at the PGY2 dermatology spots in the match, there were 477 positions in 2021 with 471 matches. That leaves 6 spots unfilled in the country. Of those 6 spots, 4 were available in the SOAP and 2 ended up filling.
